Big News!

Actually, everyone who reads this blog probably already knows the big news, but I couldn't not post something. My sister, Kim, is having a baby!!!!!

I am so excited that there will be a new little one to snuggle with in our family. Kim hasn't been feeling so hot, but the baby has been healthy, strong, moving and hiccuping during all the ultrasounds so far. She is due in late February, although the due date has changed some since the beginning, so we don't really know when to expect this little one. Kim's husband, Geoff, I think wants a boy. But most of us have a feeling this one is going to be a girl. But we will hopefully know soon. Geoff has 4 nieces already, so his family could probably stand a boy. But only time will tell. We are all hoping to know the gender soon so we can begin the shopping/spoiling process.

Please keep Kim and Geoff in your prayers. Kim has had some complications along the way and is feeling pretty bad. She is on bedrest for the time being (and possibly the duration of her pregnancy) and is already getting bored.

Whitney's Wedding Shower

This past Saturday, my sister-in-law, Dawn, and I hosted a wedding shower for our niece Whitney, who will be married in Florida in 2 weeks. Therefore, we decided to go for beach theme. It was a great time and I really enjoyed getting to plan it with Dawn. The lady who made my wedding cake and some of Tucker's birthday cakes did this one. Everyone thought it was very cute.

First Day of Preschool! (Our baby isn't a baby anymore)

Tucker started his first day of 3 year old preschool this morning. He is still going to Advent Preschool were he has been for 2 years now. But now he is in the Preschool and not just their Parents Day Out program. In the past, he has gone twice a week, but this year he will be going 3 days a week. Chris took these pictures on their way out the door this morning and when he arrived in his new classroom. Chris said he did great and did not even act like he wanted to cry. And Chris did a great job of getting him off to school this morning. I can't wait to pick him up this afternoon to find out how his first day went!

I also know it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have a lot of pictures from over the summer that I will try to put up in the next couple of days.

Brittany and Adam's Wedding

Our neice, Brittany was married this past weekend and Tucker was a ring bearer in the ceremony. We were unsure of how well he would do given his age and he was not at all cooperative during the rehearsal, or right before the actual ceremony for that matter. But he pulled it off and did great with only one little mistake. I will post more pictures when I can. These were pictures that my other neice, Whitney, sent to Chris. He was on the dance floor during the entire reception, either dancing or just running.

6-9-09 Tucker's Birthday

Tuesday, June 9 was Tucker's birthday. Chris and I took off work to spend the day with him. It was exhausting but an absolutely fun and exciting day. The day started off with a birthday breakfast of donut holes for Mr. Tucker and Daddy. Then we were off to Toy-R-Us followed by a birthday lunch. After lunch we took Tucker to the zoo. He LOVES going to the zoo. They have a new exhibit called "Birds and Bees." You can pay a dollar and get a stick with bird feed on the end of it. The birds perch on the stick and eat while you hold them. It was really amazing and Tucker loved it! After the zoo, we went to the pool where Tucker went down the water slide all by himself for the first time! Then after a couple of hours at the zoo, it was off to Tucker's favorite restaurant, Red Robin. They brought him a sundae and when he heard them come out and start singing and clapping, he declared (before they even made it to the table) "It's my birthday!"

It was an awesome and special day for all three of us! (Click images for larger view)
